Whew, did you think I gave up posting? Don’t worry, I’m still sticking to it. We just had a busy weekend. Saturday went well. Vince came home from the lock-in and crashed for a while. Then we made the mad dash to get the house picked up for a 12-2 o’clock showing. We headed out for the craft fairs (big disappointment there) and the Flower and Jazz Festival. We had a lot of fun walking around at the Flower Fest. And Eric and his band were AWESOME! If they are ever in your area catching a show would be a great date night. We had some fudge and fresh-squeezed lemonade (what festival is complete with out them?) and came home when we were just about completely worn out!
I had to take a nap after staying up all night to finished the Mother’s Day gifts. I was woken up by the boys and Vince holding three bouquets of gerber daisies and telling me I had to get ready for my appointment. To my BIG surprise Vince had lined up a babysitter, made an appointment for me to get a manicure and took me out to dinner. Soooo much fun. We ended our date with a trip to The Pour House Cafe for two Breve (like a latte, but it’s made with half and half) so rich and yummy.Sunday started just like every other Sunday, a chaotic frenzy of showers, getting dressed and feeding the kids breakfast in time to make it to church. GREAT sermon by Rich, continuing our study of prayer. Also had a presentation by a team preparing to go to Kenya this summer working with disabled children there. Check them out! I took another round of photos for the church directory and then we headed home. As we pulled up some one was leaving our house. YIKES!!! We had never received a call for a showing, beds were unmade, clothes were all over bedrooms and cereal bowls were still on the table. Oh well. We were LESS than happy about that. Who makes an appointment for a showing on Mother’s Day?!?!? Just rude all around! Surprise, surprise we got the feedback from that one today and they were not interested. Oh wait here’s my favorite part

It didn’t show well because of all the mess; it turned my clients off somewhat, having seen immaculate homes prior to this one
HELLOOOOO it was MOTHER’S DAY!?!? Did you think I was going to spend the day cleaning for you (especially since I had no idea you were coming)? Get real! So for those keeping notes, I have completely lost interest in selling this house. I am so over this. I mean really, keeping a house ready for showings with these kids, just not going to happen. But anyway, here we sit, still waiting…
I took part in a teleconference this afternoon on “Balancing Motherhood and SU!” just when I thought that wasn’t possible. Definitely got me a little excited. Time for a family meeting so we can re-define my business. Wish me luck.
Mother’s Day continues today, Vince made dinner last night courtesy of a delish recipe from Giada De Laurentis and there are lots of left-overs. Hey maybe I’ll get out for some scrapbooking tonight. Well, that about updates everything. I am going to try a MOMS Club meeting tomorrow. I’ve heard it’s not like MOPS but I am going to try it out. Talk to you later.
