Another weekend and some more craziness

Yeah!  It’s Friday again!  BUSY weekend ahead.  Tomorrow is the MOPS carnival and I will be up tonight prepping my veggie pasta salad (remember that one Mom?) and baking ANOTHER pan of brownies {yup one of my darling children decided it was a good idea to dig into the pan…}.  Not to mention I still have a load of wash going.  Whew, now I’m feeling tired.

Well, the new baby arrived yesterday.  She’s a beauty.  Vince is on cloud nine.  He’s already gotten the gas tank and lots of other parts off and has started cleaning them.  The garage stinks like, well, a garage.  There was some OLD gas still in the tank.  Yuck!!  But he couldn’t be happier, so that makes me happy. 

I finished sewing a new Mei Tai.  I’ll have to get a picture tomorrow.  It’s a lot more comfortable that my last one but still not exactly perfect.  Adorable butterfly fabric, nice and cheery.  I may work on a new sling later (during my spare time, HA!) with some really pretty fabric I found.

So, I’ve been working with the kids, Francesca in particular, teaching them some sign language.  I am stunned at how quickly they’re getting it.  Francesca can say "more", "yes", "milk", and "cookie" (yup, she’s my girl).  I had been looking up some signs online and now I have borrowed a bunch of resources from the library.  I am even learning it quicker than I would have thought, it’s very cool!  I’ll post some pics as soon as I can get her to do some signs for the camera. 

Sunday is AWANA Day at church.  Evan is graduating from Cubbies.  It should be a cute performance.  We’ll be having a cookout afterward, yum.  More pasta salad and brownies from me.  Yup, that’s right, I’m cheating!
