Jason, thank you so much for your encouragement and your valuable perspective as a bereft dad. My thoughts to your wife this Mother's Day. Though I know she can celebrate with your miracle son, that behind the smile she will miss those other babies. Gentle thoughts to you all this month and next for Father's Day.

As a husband to a wife that has suffered through 7 miscarriages, an ectopique pregnancy, and failed IVF procedures, I can stand up and say that you are spot on.
We are blessed today with a child, we call him our miracle baby. Let me tell you something though, she has more strength than I will ever have.
Acknowledge the loss, and the fact she is a mother. Just one piece of advice to those out there... don't try to fix it, or minimize it. Don't offer your gifts with a thoughtless "everything happens for a reason." that will hurt more than the pain itself. Trust me.
A gift I gave years ago... A career we named "Lucky." My son still has it in his room today. We indeed are very lucky.
