Okay, so my Mom-in-law sent me this link this morning (thanks!!). OH. MY. GOSH. I just about peed my pants. You’ve GOT TO check it out. Turn your volume up a bit.
I’ll give you a few minutes… I’ll be back to post more later.

Wondering what that title means? Well, that my friends is just one of the MANY funny things that can be overheard by listening to our dinner conversations. Since some RUDE real estate agent found it convenient to prance his clients through my house at dinner tonight, we went out. A lovely dinner at the Olive Garden thanks to a generous gift from the youth pastor and his wife. It was actually less crazy than we anticipated, YES! SO, we’re eating dessert, the boys each have a sundae, I have lemon cream cake that I am sharing with grumpy Frankie (don’t mess with her sweets!) and Vince has a cappuccino. The Olive Garden serves their cappuccino with two little biscotti. Then, Evan leans over to Vince and asks, "How does coffee and chicken nuggets taste." Apparently to Evan biscotti look a little too much like nuggets. Needless to say there was much laughing! Including Francesca who was proudly using her fake laugh.
Not much else to share today. The weather was miserable, Vince worked from home and I am *still* working on Mother’s Day gifts and cards. Surprise surprise, they’ll all be going out LATE. Sorry, I tried, I really did.
Tomorrow night is the youth group lock-in. I’ll be going for a little while with the kids and Vince will spend the night with the teens. Should be fun. Lots of craft fairs here on Saturday, fun!
Oh, and here’s an update on the house. The family that came through on Monday are interested. They went home and put their place up on the market. However, we cannot accept an offer with a contingency with the relocation company. So we’re still waiting… We also found out that the house on the corner went up on the market yesterday. We’ll see what that does to us, we’re a little worried.
Okay, so I’m still hanging in here. It really hasn’t been too bad, definitely one of our better Wednesdays. Broke the wrapper on the newest DVD for the kids after they played outside a while. Let me just tell you that I LOVE the Little Einsteins. No other movie or TV show can capture all three of my littles and hold their attention for an entire episode. So now you might be thinking, “Oh good, she’s probably working hard on those Mother’s Day gifts, they’ll probably get mailed on time.” To that I’ll just say, “Don’t get ahead of yourself.” I got my May CK issue and well, I get distracted easy. Ahem, I’m back on here… Well, I guess you can imagine all the progress I’ve made. Berger’s Cookies, need I say more? Yup, we all stopped for snack time.
I tried to get some new pictures of the kids for the previously mentioned gifts. Unfortunately, no cooperation from the firstborn… I did get a few others though, check them out.
“Look Mommy, I have a dandelion for you.”
“Yup, I’m gonna touch the stuff Mommy told me not to.”
More tomorrow…
(Insert horror movie music here) Anyone that knows me also knows that Wednesdays are almost NEVER good days. Especially if the following Thursday is NOT a MOPS day. I’m not really sure how it happens but it seems that it is a guaranteed bad day. The kids know it and I know it. If they are going to misbehave they’ll save it up and pour it out on Wednesday, trust me, they wait for this, they’re smart! Sometimes I’ll forget it’s Wednesday but by the time 10AM rolls around something has happened to remind me. So now you’re thinking, “Not her kids, they’re so well behaved, look at those sweet faces.” I say, “HA, do you know my kids!?!?!” Who knows maybe today will be different. That would be great…
So did you miss me yesterday? Have I gotten you hooked already? I’m trying. Are you wondering what Monday ended up like? Well, I got a call from the ReMax that they had booked a showing for between 5:30 and 6:30, “Is that okay?” Oh sure, I thought, just don’t mind that it is my family’s dinner hour! (It’s a good thing I was making chili, or I would have really been upset) Of course the house wasn’t really ready, it was a rainy day and all the kids were stuck inside all day (you’re getting a mental image right?) I finally wrangled them up and headed for the mini-van but it was too late, they were already in the driveway. I excused myself and took the littles for a walk down the street. They were only here for about 10 minutes… we’ll see. Yesterday our agent called us and asked if we would put the situation to prayer (obviously she doesn’t know us very well) as she had just finished faxing some paperwork over to the dinner-time agent and was looking forward to an offer (We haven’t heard anything yet) and that another agent from the same office had scheduled a showing for Thursday between 6:00 and 7:00. Okay so are you also wondering if that office ONLY schedules showings during dinner time?!?!? Guess who’s not cooking on Thursday! I’m thinking of suggesting Chipotle. I could go for a good burrito.
Oh, did you catch the 7th Heaven finale on Monday? So sad to see the show go. I thought they crammed a bit too much into one hour, they should have had a longer finale, oh well. Nice how they brought everything back together and gave us all a bit of closure, very kind of them. Maybe they’ll do a reunion show some time, I’d watch it.
I went to Recollections yesterday on my search for ideas for Mother’s Day. Such fun. It’s been a while since I’ve shopped there now that I am my own scrap and stamp store (You’re supposed to laugh at that Vince). I got a few good ideas, now we’ll see if I can get them done and out on time (pipe dreams). I also picked up a book for myself “The Big Picture” by Stacy Julian. All I can say is WOW! I couldn’t put it down. It’s a very neat look at scrapbooking and totally liberates you from the idea that in order to be a “scrapbooker” you have to have volume upon volume of chronological albums and every photo you touch much see the inside of a scrapbook. I’ve been feeling that for a while, guess I just needed to hear someone else say it. Of course this means I’ll be hounding all you self-proclaimed non-scrappers a little bit more. You can DO it (think Waterboy)!
To celebrate my find at the scrapbook store I had to bring a little something home for my hubby… His treat. Yup, I think he liked it. It was no Harry’s (too cool for a website, I checked) but it was pretty good. Even the boys couldn’t help finishing their dinner, but maybe that was because they didn’t have lunch (yup I starve ’em when I want them to actually EAT dinner, at least that’s what Evan will tell you) or that we bribed them with ice cream for dessert. Both methods teamed together work really well!
So, now you’re updated and we’re back to Wednesday… Vince just headed out to NJ for work (today’s gonna be a long day) the boys are munching on their knock-off Lucky Charms and the princess is still asleep (on my bed of course), maybe today will be okay…
