I remember curling up in my chair with my tablet waiting for you to come on! It was a whole new world for me! You introduced me to ALL of the key aspects of calligraphy through “Love Your Lettering”. I would say that you were my primary instructor on the topic. I think that was the fall of 2015 or so! I’d have to dig out my first grid notebook. Fast forward, winter of 2020 I decided to get my brush pens out and really learn calligraphy. I have learned how to use not only brush pens, but pointed pen and broad edge! I had all of the supplies, thanks to your introduction! I love the friends from all over the world that I have made through the IG community. However, you and my friend Tina who told me about “Love Your Lettering”, will always hold a special place in my heart. With little ones under foot, you made a huge impact on my life! Thank you!

Hi Maria! Oh my, Periscope IS a flashback, for sure! I’m not sure it exists any longer, but that was a fun adventure! I am really hoping to find that balance that allows me to share more consistently because writing is so therapeutic! And yes, I totally relate to the need to see blogs with more content and far less intrusive ads. I long for the connection, not the frenzy! Thank you for being here. <3
