One of the focal points of our home is our family wall.
It is a big photo collage of some of our favorite snapshots along with a decoupaged ‘W’ and a number of small canvases that feature our family verses.
You don’t need to be crafty to create something similar in your home.
It really isn’t fancy. We purchased inexpensive glass frames from Michaels and Walmart, in a few different sizes. We chose some of our favorite photos of each of the children, some that showed their personality, some that held a special memory, and had them printed with a white border for a uniform look.
I painted a bunch of blank canvases with some acrylic colors that accent our room and then used paint pens to write our family’s verses on them.
The pre-made papier-mache monogram ‘W’ was purchased from Joann and decoupaged with Mod Podge and a few coordinating scrapbook papers.
Once we had all of the photos printed, this project was completed in a weekend and receives the most compliments from everyone that enters our home.
How do you display family photos in your home?
Or are all your photos still hiding on your computer or flash drives?
What creative thing have you done this month? Be sure to share with us!

With These 2 Hands is a monthly link-up between the daisyhead, DaisyHead Creations, Serving from Home and CreativLEI. On the last Wednesday of each month we want you to share your latest creative endeavor with us. It’s show and tell time. When you link up with us it will be shared on all four blogs. Time to meet some new creative friends!
Guidelines for linking up can be found here
Grab the button (code can be found in my sidebar) and share your latest work with a link back to this post.
It doesn’t have to be a craft. Have you tried a new recipe or cooking technique? Are you in the midst of redecorating a part of your home? Have you been playing with a new camera? These are all creative endeavors and we want to see what you’re up to!

LOVE this! LOVE you photo wall!!! It is beautiful … perfect, so wish I had one 🙁 All my photos are tucked away and hidden on my computer and external … aside from a few (3) photobooks.
CreativLEI says
Time to bring them out of hiding! You’ve got great walls to cover with those adorable faces. 🙂

It does look beautiful! We have a lot of black and white photos framed on our house on tables and bookcases, not so much on the walls–but I do get tired of the dusting! 🙂
CreativLEI says
I’m supposed to dust? 😛
Mary says
Awesome! What color is your paint?
Lisa says
Thanks, Mary. It is (to the best of my memory) Americana by Behr at Home Depot. 😉
