I do not believe that Miranda or God sends me signs. I do, however, see things that serve as a reminder of my daughter often.
It is rare that a day goes by without me seeing her name somewhere.
When we chose to name her Miranda, it was because it is a family name. I didn’t think of it as a common name at all, I don’t know anyone personally with it as a first name.
Day 13 of Capture Your Grief: Signs of your baby lost.
I come across her name as I scroll through Facebook. Often I see comments made on friends’ threads by someone who is named Miranda.
I’ve seen her name when reading blog posts about babies lost, written years before she was born.
While we were on vacation there was someone who worked at one of the receptions desks that helped Vince one day, her name tag read, “Miranda”.
In July, while Vince and I were away for the weekend, we browsed a gift shop. On the display with key-chain charms I found the charms in this picture.
On the days I don’t see or hear her name somewhere I seem to find morning glories in unexpected places, like on the sand dune at the beach.
I get glimpses that keep her memory fresh, each and every day.
**Capture Your Grief is a 31 day photo challenge created by CarlyMarie. For each day of the month during October (Pregnancy/Infant Loss Awareness) bereaved parents are encouraged to share their journey through photographs as a way to share the healing process. I am participating in this series and will resume sharing our homeschool journey, recipes, and life in general in November. Thank you for your thoughtful understanding while I share my heart this month.**
