When we think of the term ‘lifetime’ we assume it means living until old age.
For some a lifetime is only a matter of days… or minutes.
The impact of a life doesn’t hinge upon the number of days lived.
Day 26 of Capture Your Grief: Share your baby’s age.
Miranda’s lifetime was only 28 days long.
She was born on a Thursday night and died exactly four weeks later almost to the hour, just two days before she would be one month old.
Her shortness of days has not lessened the impact she would make on this world for the Kingdom of God.
I was blessed to spend each of those 28 precious days at her bedside. The bracelets in the picture are the various bands I wore to see her, from the very first night until her final day.
In the middle of her fight for life the days seemed endless as we waited for updates and news of healing.
Now that those precious moments have ended it is hard to grasp that I will live the rest of my lifetime waiting to see her again.
I’m thankful that life here is just a vapor, and that I will have eternity with her in the presence of The Savior.
**Capture Your Grief is a 31 day photo challenge created by CarlyMarie. For each day of the month during October (Pregnancy/Infant Loss Awareness) bereaved parents are encouraged to share their journey through photographs as a way to share the healing process. I am participating in this series and will resume sharing our homeschool journey, recipes, and life in general in November. Thank you for your thoughtful understanding while I share my heart this month.**
