Here’s another recipe perfect for fall (or anytime you need a “harvest-time” fix)!
Pumpkin Pie Milkshakes!
vanilla ice cream (I used about 1/2 of a Breyer’s container to make shakes for all of us)
pumpkin puree (how pumpkin-y do you like it? I used about 3/4 cup or so)
a couple of tablespoons of brown sugar or maple syrup (real maple syrup NOT pancake syrup)
a little milk (you’d be best to use some good whole milk, it’s worth the calories. Have I mentioned that I’ve been buying my milk from a local creamery and we’re even getting raw milk?) not much, just enough to keep things moving through the blender. I’ve used a little eggnog too, eliminates the need to add nutmeg later.
a sprinkle of cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg to taste (more cinnamon, less cloves)
blend well (it’ll probably take a couple of passes and a spatula to get it good and blended)
Drink up!
