Dear Lady-in-the-green-coat at Joann etc. today,
No, my 2 year old was not tired. She was not hurt. She was not hungry.
She was throwing a FIT!
She did not want to sit in the shopping cart, she wanted to walk around and touch the glass items on low shelves so easily within her reach.
I did not drive 45 minutes out of my way to turn around and give in to her will. I had a task to complete and we weren’t leaving until I got what was on my short list.
Sleep well tonight and do not torture yourself, my daughter is well-loved, well-fed, has a cozy bed to sleep in, and when she is older she’ll appreciate that her father and I cared enough to teach her discipline from an early age instead of falling to the whim of a toddler.
Signed,
A tired, good Momma!

I am sure I had this exact experience at McDonald’s recently. Except that my son had a black eye from running into a counter top in Kim and Pete’s camper a week earlier. I looked like a BAD mom!!! =)
