Okay, so I really don’t have much time to post since I still need to eat lunch before heading to my next work session, but I thought I’d catch up a bit more.
So, I checked into our hotel and took a LOOOOONG walk around to get a feel for the area, it’s very easy to navigate, all the streets are numbered in order so you know exactly where you are, NOT LIKE BALTIMORE AT ALL. Then I headed to check-in. Thousands of crazy stamp-ladies swapping cards and anything else they could fit a stamp on, all eagerly waiting for that prized convention bag full of goodies. It was full! Four brand-new stamp sets and product packs for all of our Make & Take projects. Plus our spiral-bound copies of the catalog AND the NEW HOLIDAY MINI CATALOG which isn’t available until September!! So much fun stuff to add to my wishlist. Then I had a quick lunch before the helper meeting. We got all the info we needed for our shifts and got a chance to do the projects since we’ll miss those classes. After that I was beat, but I needed to go on the search for pajamas. It’s the one thing I almost always forget to pack. Well, around the hotel we have lots of shops and such, but they are all higher-end department stores and I was not spending $50 for “sale” pajamas at Nordstrum!!! Well, after a few duds I found a girl who gave me directions to a nearby Super Walmart. Hello, I come all the way out to Salt Lake City to shop in a Walmart?!?!!? But anyway, success! Pajamas found for under $15! Also picked up some snacks and Gatorade. This altitude and dryness have me dehydrated!! Yuck.
So I hopped onto the Tram and headed back to the hotel…
(Gotta go eat before work, I WILL post more in a few hours. Oh, and I will NOT be updating the photo blog until I get back home, sorry!)
