I shouldn’t be here…

I am supposed to be folding clothes and packing!  I know you all are waiting for an update though.  As for the campout, there wasn’t much sleep to be had.  The boys came in around 1:30, and ended up back outside  after a minute.  I went to bed and I’m not totally sure how many times they did that dance.  Needless to say, Vince was pretty beat on Sunday.  I think they only slept a couple of hours.

Sunday after church, we had a church-wide old-fashioned picnic at Piney Run Park (which is BEAUTIFUL).  We had fried chicken, lots of sides and homemade ice-cream.  The boys had a ball walking the nature trails down to the lake and Francesca was fighting with me because she wanted to SWIM!  She was practically jumping off the pier (there was no swimming allowed, not sure why).  It was HOT though.  By the end of the day we were beat!   I was very happy to get back into the AC!

Last night we had dinner with Marie, one of the recent graduates from our youth group.  What a great time.  Her family is getting ready to move, so she really has to say goodbye.  Our kids love her and so do we.  Vince and I had a great time talking with her after the kids went to bed.  She was asking our advice on lots of stuff and we shared what we thought she could use.  It is so incredible that after working with the youth group for just one year we were able to make such an impact and connection.  It definitely makes us want to continue with youth ministry at our next church.  We know she’s going to do great and we can’t wait to hear about her college adventures.  We laughed and cried and hugged and prayed together, we just hope she feels as ready as we think she is.

Today I am supposed to be packing up!  Vince is working in DE/NJ over the next couple of days and we were all heading up to NY for Melissa’s baby shower this weekend, so I thought I’d go and give my sis a visit during the week.  From what I hear she needs to be reminded that she needs to rest now while she can!  Not much cleaning to do here since we’ve had a lot of showings recently.  I just need to finish up the laundry and get us packed.  Also need to pack some stamping stuff to finish working on Melissa’s gifts.  Well, time to stop procrastinating and get to work.  Later!
